Registration Data Disclosure Requests

This page outlines how you can submit a registration data disclosure request to Safenames. Each submission will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Safenames will only consider disclosing private data, in accordance with applicable laws, where a valid and verified request is made.

Information Required

Please read the below carefully, as this information is required from requestors in order for Safenames to process your request.

We will require:

  1. Your identity
    1. Name;
    2. Email address;
    3. Phone number;
    4. Nature/type of organisation or agency (where applicable);
    5. Organisation or agency name (where applicable);
    6. Organisation or agency contact details (where applicable).
  2. Your authority
    1. Proof of your authority to act for the organisation or agency (where applicable).
  3. Domain name(s)
    1. Domain name(s) for which you are making a data disclosure request.
  4. Requested data
    1. Exact data elements you are requesting.
  5. Legal basis for request
    1. Specific rationale and basis for the request;
    2. Identification of law or court order upon which the above rationale and basis is made.
  6. Affirmation of good faith and lawful processing
    1. Include the following statement:

      “I have submitted this request in good faith. I confirm that disclosed data will be used only for the specific rationale and basis outlined in this request, will be at all times processed in accordance with applicable law, and will be retained to the minimum extent permitted under applicable law.”

Note: Safenames reserves the right to request identification documents from you, in order to verify the request.

Registration data disclosure requests which meet all of the above requirements will be acknowledged within two business days. Safenames will provide a substantive response (i.e. disclosure of data, or rationale for not disclosing) within thirty calendar days from this acknowledgement.

Safenames reserves the right to deny incomplete requests. Safenames also reserves the right to take corrective actions against misleading, bad faith, or otherwise abusive requests and/or requestors. Such corrective actions will be communicated to you, except where you have impersonated an agency/organisation and we report your actions to that agency/organisation.
