  • Safenames Data Centre - Head of Customer Service

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities

    • Become the primary contact person for all our existing hosting customers.
    • Secure new revenue from existing customers by introducing additional services that we bring on board.
    • Grow recurring revenue from existing customers.
    • Work closely with customers to be their main non-technical point of contact.
    • Directly reporting to the Director of Business Development.
    • Closely partner with all functions of the business to ensure a unified customer relationship and support environment.
    • Provide 1st line customer support.
    • Build and manage a team of customer service agents 

    Personal Requirements

    • Proven track record in nurturing successful and lasting client relationships to not only retain but grow existing revenues.
    • Highly organised with strong customer service skills.
    • Working knowledge of hosting terminology a great advantage.
    • Basic knowledge of how hosting and data centres operate would be a great advantage.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels.
    • Excellent negotiation, persuasion and relationship building skills.
    • Excellent attention to detail.
    • Good commercial awareness.

  • Intellectual Property Assistant

    Purpose of Role

    To assist with the provision of administrative support and to conduct evidence led investigations relating to Intellectual Property infringements.

    Key Areas of Responsibility

    • Providing secretarial support to the IP department
    • Exercising decision making skills on complex IP matters
    • Providing effective communication, both verbal and written, with various departments and clients, providing timely and accurate information
    • Maintain and update internal database of case files and policies
    • Conduct investigations into potential IP violations on the Internet
    • Draft and prepare accurate, well written reports for clients
    • Administer the legal process for enforcing client’s trademark rights
    • Carrying out negotiations on behalf of clients
    • Occasionally attend meetings, conferences and workshops within the UK and abroad

    Essential skills

    • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective professional internal and external relationships
    • Excellent time management skills with the ability to take responsibility for own workload and meeting tight deadlines
    • Ability to exercise judgement in cases, based on evidence and to present cases / arguments clearly and rationally
    • Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on concise and accurate comprehension, and written skills
    • Capable of factual analysis and identifying relevant issues
    • Ability to absorb knowledge fast, and apply it in real time
    • Ability to work independently with very little supervision
    • High level of initiative and self directed in own development
    • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
    • Experience with meeting client needs by providing a professional, proactive service.

    Desirable skills

    • Graduate
    • Sufficient knowledge of Trademarks, Domain Names, IP Infringement very desirable
